Bradley A. Andersen, Veteran Consumer Packaging Company Executive, Named CEO

John L. Collins to Retire but Remain on the Board of Directors

Kissimmee, FL – April 1, 2019 - Nursery Supplies Holdings, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high quality, eco-friendly plastic containers that meet the rapidly growing needs of the wholesale nursery industry, today announced the appointment of experienced consumer packaged goods executive Bradley A. Andersen as President and Chief Executive Officer. He will assume day-to-day leadership of the Company and join the Board of Directors on April 1, 2019, upon the retirement of current CEO John L. Collins.

“It has been a privilege to serve as CEO of Nursery Supplies for the past 10 years,” said Collins, who will remain on the Board of Directors in order to ensure a seamless transition. “I am very proud of everything our team has accomplished including our consistent strategy of manufacturing excellence, differentiation, and market leadership. We have doubled the size of the company through both organic growth and acquisitions, developed innovative new products for our growers, become the recycling leader in the industry and embarked on significant capital projects which will grow the company for decades to come.”

Andersen has held positions of increasing responsibility at Procter & Gamble Company across international, domestic and corporate assignments. Andersen has demonstrated a strong track record of improving productivity and effectively managing inventory through the value chain, both domestically and globally, through the implementation of lean manufacturing and equipment effectiveness processes. He led a project at P&G to improve operating performance at manufacturing sites in multiple distribution channels, which drove breakthrough results. Andersen earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.

“The Board is confident Brad is the right person to build on the forward momentum at Nursery Supplies. He is a seasoned leader with broad business and operations experience in packaging and consumer markets, and expertise operating in a manufacturing environment with operational excellence at its core,” said T.J. Maloney Chairman and CEO of Lincolnshire Management, which owns Nursery Supplies along with the management team. “We thank John for his leadership and dedication to the company.”

“I am very excited to transition with John and assume this new role,” said Andersen. “Nursery Supplies has an exceptionally talented team that is focused on taking actions to invest in growth and transform the business. We will continue to innovate and differentiate our products in new ways and unlock future opportunities. I believe we are taking the right steps to move the business forward.”

January 7, 2019

Kissimmee, FL- Nursery Supplies Holdings has announced a $30 million series of investments in state-of-the-art equipment to expand its Nursery Supplies and Summit Janor businesses.  The investments will update existing equipment, expand production capacity and relocate corporate headquarters to Kissimmee over the next two years.

Investments being made in the Kissimmee, FL, Chambersburg, PA, Orange, CA, Jacksonville, TX, and Akron, OH facilities include:

In-line automation and upgrading of injection and thermoforming equipment to provide tag slot capabilities in all facilities.

Rebuilding and refining all in-line thermoformers as well as increasing printing capabilities in the newly expanded Summit Janor mega-manufacturing site in Ohio.

Significantly improving the automation features in wash lines at the Pennsylvania facility as well as adding a fourth recycling wash line in our Texas facility. These enhancements will allow us to maximize post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste usage in our process and to continue our commitment as the leading environmental steward in the horticulture container industry.

Adding automated printing and in-line tag slot capabilities as well as installing a second in-line thermoformer by summer 2019 in the Florida plant.

Relocating senior administrative offices from Pennsylvania to Florida in order to support the major growth our business is experiencing and take advantage of a location in a major metropolitan area for future growth.

In total, the planned investments are expected to add approximately seventy jobs to our hourly and salaried workforce as we prepare for continued growth in the horticulture container market.

“This investment is part of our growth and market leadership strategy of providing products and solutions for our customers and their customers as we develop new, innovative and environmentally friendly applications for them” said John L.
